I wanted to print the heater parts on my Voron FDM printer.
The source design was intended to be printed on a resin printer. Because of this the ring component is made up of four separate pieces that are intended to be glued together. Also the top part is designed to be a snap fit to the main body. At first I printed the Flyn parts in ABS on my Voron FDM printer. I glued the ring pieces together but it looked messy. Also, the top cap wouldn't stay snapped down and I had to glue the top on too.
This led me to modifying the Flyn Industries parts. I modified the main body and top to use M3 heat set inserts for fastening instead of glue. I merged the four ring parts so it could be printed in a single piece and added holes to two M3 screws to attach the main body to the ring.
My Saturn has a nevermore air filter installed on the rear right side. So this design is a mirror of the Saturn S heater and puts the main body on the rear left.
The author remixed this model.
