Bambu X1C Top Slider Glass for AMS

I use this to slide the AMS to the rear to allow for more cooling when printing PLA.

As a side note you can use M3x14 Cap screws with a washer instead of wood screws.

Easy to print (I used PLA-CF), but the assembly and especially the Details described do come with some flaws: Here is what I used / came across:

- Wood screws (3x13 fitted well)
- At least on my printer it's been 4 M3x20 screws that have to be put on the back side of the printer, I guess "M2" ist a mistake
- The fixation of the back triangles to the main frame with wood screws does not work. Protruding screws collide with the aluminum frame. You have to use something that sinks in, M3x12 countersunk might fit, I ended up drilling out the holes to 4,5mm and using a M5x10mm grub screws.

I hope my photographs help with the assembly, since there is no real description, other than that, I really like the model, it expanded the functionality of the printer yet significantly..

@Iatraliptes do I need to make holes on my P1s for it to work ? The wood screws will go on my frame ?

What are the print setting on this please and is there a installation video on this as well?

I don’t understand how this is not the #1 printed mod for Bambu X1. I couldn’t use it as designed because im using the cob 24v led strip cover mod. But i did modify part of your model to work with my setup.

Not quite as it was intended for, but it works with a second AMS unit with some tweaking.

Thanks,

Hi Would this design work using a larger cut of glass and fit two AMS units on top?

Or some side supports that are built on the frame to hold the AMS above the glass allowing the top to slide but holding two AMS's above. Saves Stacking them and can open the lids. I dont think I am clever enough with On shape to design this. (edited)
