Survive: Escape From Atlantis! - Better Boats

I designed these boats to better hold the meeples in Survive: Escape from Atlantis! 

When moving the original boats during games, we found that the meeples inside would often fall out. In Survive, the point value is indicated on the bottom of each meeple. This information is supposed to remain hidden to everyone throughout the game. Therefore, it can ruin the fun when the meeples topple out of their boats, revealing their value.

These boats are the same width and thickness as the originals and just a tad bit longer. However, the spaces for the meeples are twice as deep, and enclose the meeple on all four sides. These changes help significantly in keeping them secure in their boats (at least until a whale comes by).

You can keep your wooden boats in the box by putting them under the insert in two piles of 6 (it helps to put them in a bag or wrap them in cellophane so they don’t shift while putting the insert back in).  See the picture showing where to stick them.

I printed in PLA with a 0.40 mm nozzle and 0.15 mm layer height. However, it's not a very intricate design, so you should be able to increase these values without any issue.

Note:

As per a comment by @CoryA_1552992, if you have an older version which comes with wooden meeples, increase the width of the boats by 115% to compensate for their larger size.
