A cheap and easy fix for cracked and broken Arctis headphones,
You will need,
Retaining Clip plyers or E clip plyers
Loctite Super glue MUST BE THIS TYPE!
A soldering iron
A screwdriver
A 11mm or 7/16" drill bit OR Dremel and patience…
Not required but having a drill press and vise makes a world of difference if using a drillbit
First de-solder all the internal wires so you can remove the speaker driver cover and PCB from the housing so you can drill out the hole
after de-soldering the wires tape the remaining ones that control the LEDs to the other side away from the area we are drilling.
I recommend putting your speaker driver cover BACK on to make the walls more ridged and prevent cracking as I did on one side (ooof) just don't go too deep and you should be fine
you will need an 11mm (7/16" works fine too! it's what I used!) and drill out your existing headset hole as shown here
then insert and glue the part in place front and back as shown here (look I know it's messy but It cracked going like 6 ways and the activator I use isn't the best, and I was impatient…)
After you let the glue cure (or use an activator if impatient) you are all done! Follow the steps in reverse (except the drilling bit) to assemble your headset and wala! a headset that isn't wonky!
