3D printed threads are unreliable, so I decided it's better to rely on an actual M5 screw and nut for the otherwise amazing camera mount designed by Sneaks.
Since there are a few variations for the M5 socket head cap screw on the market, I included two version for the thumb screw: one with straight sides which can be used with larger head screws, and one with relatively aggressive “dimples” that provide more interference and a tighter fit.
In the photos, I used a M5 x 18mm for the camera mount.
The nut itself has a loose fit so it can be inserted during print. Unless you're a ninja, this is better accomplished by adding a pause at z = 6 mm to insert the nut and then resume printing. The provided Gcode includes such pause.
Default settings with PETG and layer height of 0.20 mm worked well. I also use a concentric bottom layer fill pattern for a better visual effect.
