Description

PDF

I used my previously published and well-tested parametric Duplo Brick model and after several failed attempts I think I found the optimal dimensions for a print-in-place Duplo Hinge Brick. It lives in two forms: Hinge Plate and Hinge Brick.

For sliding doors use my Duplo Brick model without studs to create studless Duplo tiles!

Printing

The parts should be printed from PETG or ABS. You will need a well calibrated printer as there are very small tolerances between the moving parts. Print it with 0.2mm layer height! After printing you have to slide a knife between the hinge axle faces and pop it carefully. Maybe after one failed attempt you will succeed and free movement of the hinge will reward your efforts :)

Source files?

I included the Fusion 360 .f3d source files for easy modification. Including source files is cool :)

Feedback is important!

I spend countless hours perfecting and testing my designs and I would love to hear your feedback too. If you like my designs I appreaciate a like or a comment. Please post a photo if you print this.
