Blooming Flower

I printed most of the pieces for this out of a custom-colored transparent purple resin. Except for the stem and the ladybug, which I printed out of grey resin, and the center U-piece, which I printed out of clear resin before painting the bee I pout on top. I still needed to use a sliver of unused filament in the assembly, so it was lucky I still owned some even after getting rid of my old filament printer.

Also as I mentioned earlier, I edited the center piece to replace the heart with a model of a bee I found here:

It's a really great model, and it functions well even when made of resin!

had to print the stem laying down because it kept breaking

first off printed smaller pedals upright, which got rid of need for supports.. printed mine at .18 and heart at .16, on Voxelab Aries, I got into tinker cad and "improved the lady bug.. made it so the part that goes into stem is most of the length of lady bug for strength made spot bumps into spot divits so a sharpie will work better .. and sealed the bottom so now I can cut metal rod like for model air plane flaps (strait paper clip would work) to length and melt it into lady bug middle piece.. and bam no worry about a rubber band and gravity working.. will post moded lady bug as "bloom flower lady bug mod" (on 15th??) I am working on printing moded part now at 8:49pm 14th.. ( we can blame the lateness on children) so its all gonna be a day late and a dollar short :P finished pics on 15 or 16th
