System76 zetabot chess set

Here at System76 we love ourselves a good game of chess. So we thought what better way to connect our love of chess with our cute System76 zetabots.  So Alex, one of our machinists, took it upon himself to put together this awesome chess set featuring OLIviA, 1rv1ng, M3LVIN, and S1m0n. He even managed to put together a custom chess board which we've added as a .step file so that you can make print your own or take our design and make it better.

Bill of materials:

• SLA Printer
• Resin

We recommend using a resin (SLA) printer for the models if you're printing at their current scale. You might also be able to scale the pieces up and print them using an FDM printer but we haven't tested that. When it comes to the chess board you should be able to print that just fine using an FDM printer. 

Printing instructions:

• Supports: Yes

Nothing too crazy here. You will want to make sure you print the chess pieces using supports. Together a full set took us about 16 hours to print. However, you might be able to optimize that if you have a larger print area.
