In need of a monitor stand i created this thing to get rid of the paper packages that I'm using half an decade. I need at least a depth of 220mm or more for the monitor foot. Therefor I maxed it out to fit the mk3s+ printbed size of maximal 250mm.

I like bamboo wood very much and so i bought an relativly cheap ikea apetitlig and cut it to the required size of 242mm widith.

You can chance the “inner design” easially with choosing another infill pattern or download one of my presliced gcodes. For the photos of the model I used the classic honeycomb pattern without the bottom and top layers (just turned them off in prusaslicer). For better stiffnes I set the outer perimetes to 8 (around 4mm).  To make it look more like one piece, I designed the hole with a 4mm rim to match with the  8 perimeters ;)

Exact size of the wood:

Length: 480mm (as it comes)
Width: 242mm (cut both sides to get 90 degree edges)
Height: 16mm (as it comes)

Suggested Print Settings:

Infill orientation: I set the infill angle to 90°  it symmetrical.

Resolution and speed: 0,3 draft (standard prusaslicer setting)

Infill: 6-8% (or whatever you prefer, it is pretty strong with 6% infill)

Filament: Prusament PETG Jet Black

Different heights ( are also available. The following gcodes are currently available for download:

  • 10cm
  • 9cm
  • 8cm
  • 7cm
  • 6cm

Note:

I also provide you with all CAD files (.prt, .step, etc.) if you want to change the dimensions :)

My Design was inspired by several other Monitor stands here at printables.
