These dividers help tame the mess of tools on magnet bars by keeping in reasonable order. When I just place tools on a magnetic bar, they seem to quickly rearrange themselves and climb on top of each other. These dividers tame the tool arrangement by keeping tools away from their neighbors.

The divider is a simple U-shaped piece with a vertical hole for a steel bolt. The magnetism from the bar holds the bolt (and therefore the divider) in place.

This is an OpenSCAD file. You can adjust the dimensions of the divider to fit your toolbar and tools. The bolt hole can be any size. I find that M6 (1/4 in) or M8 (5/16 in) steel bolts work well for my hand tools.

I have found using wedges to hold the bars at an angle and away from the surface works well. You can make your own wedges using my \u201cWedge with Holes and Base\u201d model: https://www.printables.com/model/378238-wedge-with-holes-and-base-customizable
