This model can be used on the Decathlon Rockrider ST 100 Mountain bike.

Although if your cycle has similar handlebar dimensions to the ST100, it can be done. Or else you can download the model and edit the diameter yourself. (e.g. convert mesh function in fusion 360)

For this product, I have included 2 different types of models. The files ending with “with sinkhole” are for the people who have a screw that has an 8mm or less screw head diameter.

The dimensions of the smaller hole are 2mm and the large hole is 8mm

The model names for this are:

  1. Bottom arch with sinkhole
  2. hook with sinkhole
  3. top arch with sinkhole
  4. curve (standard for both products with or without sinkhole)

The models not with this ending are for the people who want to drill their own hole if they have a different-sized screw head.

The model names for this are:

  1. curve (standard for both products with or without sinkhole)
  2. hook
  3. ring and bolt

To make this model you will need the following:

  • M5 machine screws (x4)
  • M5 nyloc or regular a regular nut (x4)
  • Wood Screw (to fix the hook and the arch) (x1)
  • 2mm and 8mm drill bit for sink hold to fix wood screw without the plastic splitting
    • This will only be necessary if the hole already in the model is not big enough
    • Possibly a drill to make the hole and to put the wood screw in the hole
  • Washer (x8)
  • Old mouse mat (to place on the top arch to provide more grip, anti-slip side touching the handlebar)
  • Super glue, ofc
  • wrench for fixing machine screws and nut

The model has 4 separate parts which are to be glued and fixed together. All though if you wanted to print the whole thing with supports you would only have to fix 2 parts together, the two arches which go around the handlebar.

These are the 4 parts:

In reference to the annotated figure showing each part to print:

  • Parts 1 and 2 are fixed using machine screws and nuts
    • When fixing these two parts you can place a washer in between the two arches to increase the grip between the two
    • The hole is a 5.2mm hole and the machine screw has to be twisted into the hole, I made it like this to make it stronger.
    • To fix the machine screws and nuts a wrench would be necessary.
    • A simple tip when fixing the machine screws is to use a drill and a wrench. Use the drill to tighten the screw while simultaneously holding the nut in place with the wrench, this will tighten the nut much more quicker.
    • Place a washer in between the two arches. The machine screw will pass through the washer which will provide more strength and grip.
    • A tip for placing the washer in between the 2 arches is to add a drop of superglue to the washer and fix it in place in between the hole, this makes it easier to fix the arches.
    • DO NOT SUPERGLUE THE TWO ARCHES TOGETHER OR ELSE IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE THEM LATER. ONLY GLUE THE WASHER WITH A TUNY DRIP OF SUPER GLUE
  • Parts 2 and 3 are fixed using super glue and wood screw
    • The sinkhole has already been made for you in the model, but if the hole doesn't print properly or your screw has different sizes then you can drill a hole with a different drill bit.
    • Make sure that the 2 holes on the hook and the arch line up and then superglue them before inserting the wood screw
    • The bigger hole is to ensure that the wood screw head isn't protruding out of the hole.
    • A drill would be needed to drill the wood screw into the hole. The recommended wood screw size would be 20-25mm
  • Parts 3 and 4 are fixed using superglue
    • Attach the part correctly making sure it is in line with the other part on the other side.
    • This part is fairly straightforward.
