Speidel Fermenter Airlock Lid

This is a screw on lid for a Speidel 12L HDPE fermenter that has a port for a Speidel airlock.

I really like the Speidel fermenters, but I misplaced the single bung that came with it and needed something to replace it. Making a lid seemed like a better approach to a bung anyway!

The airlock port will fit a 1" grommet (11/16" ID, 1-9/32" OD). The grommet will have some movement, this is by design so that it is possible to get it on without destroying it. It should still make a good seal, mine did during my tests.

The ‘WithORing’ variant also has a groove that will hold a G40 nitrile o-ring. The O-Ring is not strictly necessary, but would seal a bit better in theory.
