Sorry to all who I have tried printing this and then realised i screwed up the instructions on the use of supports. The side part does indeed need supports, as there is are cylindrical parts that extends out from the side. This has to be printed this way up due to the hex shaped holes.
I have uploaded a new version of the side plates that should take 608s 22 mm bearings, although as I don't have any of these bearings I haven't been able to test it yet ! - For some reason the STL is really big at 19MB - not sure why as I just edited the original - I will re-do it at some point and re-upload. Note you will need to use 8mm bar with this version.
Apologies but In my hurry to upload due to so many people asking me for the STLs I inadvertently uploaded the STL with the side pieces laying down. It will be really difficult to print them like this so they should be printed in their normal position and I have updated the STLs to reflect this!
'Prusament' Filament Roller, this design was based around the design of the new Prusament filament reel. it uses 4x 626Z bearings and two 6mm steel rods.
NOTE: If you are using the 6mm steel rollers then you only need to print the 2x side pieces and 2 of the larger tubes !
You can also use carbon rods like my other design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3033892
I originally design this using rolled carbon fibre tubes that I had spare as it looks far superior but you can use the STLs to print your own tubes although they don't roll as well as the steel or carbon rollers.
Mounts are 100% infill , with raft, no support
Sides are 20% infill no raft, supports needed !
Tubes are 100% infill with raft
I used superglue to hold everything together, this makes it incredibly rigid.
The larger tube is 15mm I/D , 16mm O/D, 97.60 mm long. (I/D & Length Important) x2
The smaller tube is 8mm I/D, 10mm O/D, 93.50 mm long. (O/D & Length important) x2
N.B. These don't work as well as steel or carbon rollers so they are not a preferred option.
You can choose to print the tubes rather than source carbon tubes so I have included STLs for these, there are 3 sizes - the short large diameter tubes are for use with the larger front mounted filament clamp, the longer for use without and the long thin tubes are for the rollers.
