This is a semi-realistic looking version of a Roman gladius sword of the Republican or Mainz variety, depending on your source.

I wanted to make a somewhat realistic Roman sword but most other 3D printable swords have very thick blades. That was a deal breaker for me so I went and found a mesh* that looked right. The downside of the thin blade is, of course, the strength is quite low so it is strictly a show piece.

I printed the blades vertically in vase mode. This gave them the best look but it isn't fun to glue them together as the blade supports do not work to line it all up.

You do you but my recommendations for colors are, wood for the guard and pommel, gold for the pommel decoration, ivory for the handle, silver for the blade, and bronze for the thing between the guard and the blade (I'm not sure what it's called. Rain guard?).

* I found this mesh in files being shared from a game while searching for the right look. It has been well over a year since I found it, otherwise I would attribute which game it came from.
