Don't you hate it when you're happily popping primers on your Lee APP and the deprime kit suddenly explodes in your face, sending parts flying across your reloading room, all because you forgot to check it recently? Me too, friend, me too. That's why I designed this simple lock ring to prevent the deprime pin cover/housing from backing out while the press is in use. Now you can get back to happily popping primers without having to worry about constantly checking your deprime pin housing for security.
The lock ring is designed to be positioned with the tab close to or up against the right guide rod base (see photo) and the gap in the ring aligned with the spring guide rod (plastic).
On my press, with the deprime pin housing completely tight, the tab on the lock ring will be just off the right guide rod base. Within a few cycles of the press, the tab on the lock ring will make contact with the guide rod base and prevent the deprime pin housing from backing out any further. Yours may be slightly different (alignment of the tab when the housing is tight), but it should function the same.
