PDF

A bracket for mounting a collection bin (Akro/Uline type) under the exit ramp of a Lee Automatic Processing Press (APP) mounted to an InLine Fabrication Quick Change plate. The bracket indexes off the right mounting bolt on the APP and slides over the end of the base and quick change plates. The bracket is secured via the right thumb screw for the quick change plate.

There are two versions: One is assembled with thread-rolling screws, the other with M3 heat-set inserts.

Necessary Hardware:

OR

*There is a clearance hole beyond the pilot for the insert which will accommodate up to a 16mm M3 screw, however I would not recommend using screws longer than 12mm.

Print Recommendations:

  • 0.4-0.6mm nozzle
  • 0.2-0.3mm layer height
  • 3 perimeters
  • 15-25% infill
  • PETG or PLA
  • Use supports for the underside of the thumb screw recess on the bracket lower and under the indexing finger on the bracket upper (see below).

Assembly and Use:

Fasten the two parts together using three #6x5/8" thread-rolling screws.

OR

Fasten the two parts together using three M3 screws of sufficient length, after inserting the heat-set inserts.

To install the bracket on your IF mount, first set the indexing finger against the back (away from you) of the right mounting bolt on the APP. Then, rotate the bracket over the front edge of the base and QC plates; the notch will straddle the threaded stud on the QC plate. Secure the bracket to the plates with the thumb screw for the QC plate. Hang a collection bin on the front of the bracket and start processing some brass!

Change Log:
  • 01MAR2023 – Updated model file; bracket should now work with both the new and old versions of the QC base plate. Added a couple photos. Added a heat-set insert version for use with M3x4mm heat-set inserts.
  • 21MAR2023 – Corrected “Arko” to “Akro” for all occurrences; apparently I'm dyslexic?
