This is a toy car with interchangeable parts I have made for the toy car contest, 100% 3d printed and designed to be easily printable without supports.

Print Settings: more or less whatever settings you use normally, 0.2mm layer hight should work.

At the moment there are only 2 quite simple bodys, 1 chassi and 4 wheel types to choose from as I wanted to get this published before the toy car contest ends.

Parts required to make a full car:

  • 1 Basic chassi
  • 4 wheels (you can mix and match, no need to use 4 of the same)
  • 1 Body
  •  1 Screw tool (reusable), used to break free the print in place screw after printing as well as to mount a body more easily.

Assembly:

  • Once you have all parts printed take the chassi and the screw tool and break the screw free
  • Put the wheel onto the chassi (press the wheel onto the pins, they can require some force to press on)
  1. Put the body onto the chassi and screw it down.

I invite anyone who wants to, to remix, add to and modify the parts I have made as well as to create there own to expand the selection of parts available.

For this I have also added a base body for the car (the green one on the cover image) to make it easier to build your own bodywork on top of it as well as a cutter( both in .stl and .3mf format) that cuts away the thread and alignment pins as well as wheel wells to fit the chassi under basically whatever you want.

To use the cutter model joust align the the flat top surface of the cutter part with the Bottom of whatever custom bodywork you have made and then subtract the cutter from your model, as long as the thread and alignment pins are fully cut in your part you should be able to mount it on the chassi.
