Description

PDF

This mechanism creates intermittent motion of the output gear due to the few teeth on the input. Because it has a locking center gear, the output gear can not be driven except by the input gear preventing misalignment or loss of the count. 10 rotations of the input produce 1 rotation of the output.

For best printing results:

  • No supports needed
  • 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer height
  • Elephant's foot will cause gears to jam, use a raft if this is an issue
  • Grease the pivots with petroleum jelly (Vaseline) for smoothest motion
