Edit: STL now includes hole for stepper motor … oops.
A simple printed Direct drive conversion designed to fit a BIQU HERMIT CRAB tool-plate to a stock Creality Mk8 Hot-end and Ender 3 extruder assembly.
It utilises the standard mounting holes of the hot-end heat sink to affix the printed part to the hermit crab plate, with optional bolt/nut slots next to the extruder. In order to keep the assembly compact, the stepper motor points inwards, this does in some way restrict access to the extruder, but access is still provided to the tension adjustment screw and the disengagement lever.
Make sure to cut a small section of PTFE Tubing to join the heatsink coupler with the extruder coupler.
I printed mine in PLA and it has held up pretty well, although ABS would be best to resist the extra heat if you current boost your extruder stepper or have a heatsink that gets particularly hot.
