Fully hinged clip-on eye shade I've modeled for archery. It can also be used as an eye blocker for pistol shooting.
It uses 1.75mm filament as hinges. If your printer is not that well calibrated, the tolerances might be a bit tight for the holes.
For now the clip is made to fit the brim of a baseball cap, it might be too loose for a regular hat.
Instructions :
- Print 1 cap clip, 2 clip hinges and 1 visor + hinge.
- Check that filament fits through the holes. It needs a tight fit without being too loose.
- Insert 1 length of filament through one hinge, then the cap clip then another hinge.
- Insert another length through the remaining hole on a hinge, then the visor and the last hole on the remaining hinge.
- Cut the filament leaving approximately 2mm on each side.
- Burnish the ends of the filament with a heat source (I used a heated flat screwdriver but you could use your printer bed heated to 80°C).
It might be a bit raw for nom but I love constructive criticism.
Enjoy !
