My grandpa gave me this old Delta 22-540 planer. It had absolutely no chip/dust collection. So I modeled this up to attach to the chip deflector shroud thing and connect to a shop vac to collect the chips.
I've included 2 models, one with the whole shroud as one piece. I can't confirm that this single piece print will fit, my printer isn't that big. The second model is a split version of the shroud with a little connector piece to help align the two halves and provide more surface area for gluing than just the thin ends.
The full, unsplit model is about 346mm between the inside faces. The split model halves are slightly shorter, 344mm between faces, to account for the little connector piece.
The port on the end fits my shop vac (46mm diameter), but YMMV. Did have to do a little sanding/grinding to get it to slip on snugly.
Holes on the end are sized for M5 bolts; drill and tap a couple of holes into the sides planer's existing chip deflector using the shroud as a guide.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
