Update 7.02.2023: Added Pre-Build Bridges and a Hexgon Plate. You can extend them with any other element using the top/bottom clips.

This spacer (grid)element has several advantages.

  1. The Hexagon connector is very tight and holds firmly on all other parts. Different elements remain connected and do not come loose by themselves. However, you need some force to connect or disconnect them. It makes the whole marble run much more stable.
  2. The "spacer" uses the entire surface. High towers and structures thus stand on stable pillars.
  3. Multiple "spacer" elements can be connected with 2 clips each to form any shape, bridge, or plate. This makes bridges and plates possible that extend far beyond the print area. Several layers are recommended for huge bridges
  4. Thanks to the properties above it is very easy to connect several parts of your marble track and stabilize the construction

Print instructions

Nothing special. Print as many base elements and clips as you want. For a stable connection between two elements, you need a top and a bottom clip.

Print in 0.3 or 0.2  (0.3 DRAFT works fine on my Prusa mk3s).
I recommend printing the clips in 0.2.

- Comming soon -

  • A 10mm version
  • Different versions with tighter/less tight connectors. Let me know if the “grip” is too strong or too weak for you. This might be different on different printers

Note:
I am in no way affiliated with Ravensburger or Gravitrax. All parts are my own creations and serve a purpose or function that the original parts can not. However, they are compatible with most Gravitrax components or alternative Gravitrax-like marble run models. I do this purely as a hobby with no intention of making a profit.
