I purchased a new shop vacuum and found that the vacuum was a bit too good for some of my needs in my woodshop. (It was collapsing the 5 gal plastic dust collection bucket on my in-line cyclone.) I printed a connector that allow me to regulate the vacuum applied. By turning the outer sleeve, more of the vent holes are exposed which bleeds more air into the hose to reduce the applied vacuum. I usually put a large rubber band around the outer piece to keep it from moving about when in use.
Printed with standard settings on an MK3S+ and is sized to fit the hose on my vac. (a Ridgid shop vac). I’ve provided the .stl file in case the size needs to be tweaked for a different size vac hose. My vac hose is 2.25 in.
