This is a compact housing for the unisolder soldering station. Parts with cut outs for a JBC connector are provided as well as a front plate without cut outs, which can be adapted to any connector type. In the same spirit a back plate with cut out for a schurter power inlet and one without cutout is provided. If you point me to the drawings of a specific other connector/power inlet, I might provide additional plates for those.
The housing consists mainly of the upper part, holding the electronics and the bottom, holding the transformer. I chose to use eryone dark blue matte PLA for the upper part, standard black PLA for bottom, display frame and buttons and TPU for the feet.
In addition to the printed parts, the following is needed:
For the electronics I used
For the main housing import the following files at once:
Set the infill to 100% for the objects “threaded inserts solid infill” and “power inlet plate …”. Print the housing upside down. All openings are closed by plugs, which can easily be pushed out. No supports are required.
For the bottom import the following two files at once:
Set the infill to 100% for the object “bottom_solid_infill”.
Furthermore the following items need to be printed:
The holes of the buttons should measure 3.5mm . In my case the printed holes were to small and I enlarged them slightly with a 3.5mm drill bit.
push the plugs out from all openings
glue the frame to fit the display cut out
install the threaded inserts
fix the transformer to the bottom
fix the PCBs using the M3 screws
connect the cables (keep the cables as short as possible - space is limited!)
push the power inlet in
connect the transformer to the PCB and the power inlet
insert the M4 screws into the feet
close the housing and screw in the M4 screws
