BOM

  • Printed files
  • Laser Cut acrylic pieces
  • 4x Generic Dollar Store LED cords (https://www.action.com/nl-nl/p/jute-touw-met-ledverlichting/)
  • Insulated copper wire

Instructions

This instuction is based on the LED cords I used, but should be transferable to other forms.

  1. Figure out the polarity of the strip with a multimeter. Since the bare wire is annealed so it doesn't conduct electricity, strip the wires on the insulated part to meassure the polarity
  2. Run 2 wires (positive and negative) from one of the battery packs through all bases
  3. Solder the positive leads of the lights to the positive wire and the negative leads to the negative wire.
  4. Hotglue everything in place.
  5. Super glue the insides to the letters.

CC-0 for the model, though I would recommend against any commercial endeavors, since AIDA holds intellectual property over the logo design.
