Chess Pedestals

I have been wanting to design some pedestals for people to use to make their own chess sets, by gluing whatever printed pieces they want on top (D&D miniatures, Warhammer characters, Pokemon...). Then mcgybeers Cali-Dragon came out and I had to make a chess set for myself!

I am only supplying the pedestals, if you want to make a set like mine don't forget to browse on over and download mcgybeers Cali-Dragon.

The pedestals are sized and marked appropriately for chess, just dont forget to scale your part depending on which piece you will make them. For the Cali-Dragon the pawns were printed at 85%, Rook, Knight and Bishop 100%, King and Queen 120%.

I am including a blank pedestal if anyone needs it for any other project, can be scaled up as large as needed.

Included are 7 STLs for each piece needed.
- King
- Queen
- Rook
- Knight
- Bishop
- Pawn
- Blank

Please feel free to share images of your prints, I would love to see them.

Enjoy!

PLA works great
5% infill (if your printer is dialed in, they can be printed with zero infill all the way up to 100% if you want some heft to them)
0.20mm Later Height
No supports needed
I use 3 perimeters, but 2 or more should be fine.
