I got tired of the clear vinyl badge holders getting dirty and falling apart, so I designed a simple, sturdy replacement.
You'll want to print with three perimeters, and the lanyard tabs will need supports (the attached 3MF has the correct settings). The print should take under an hour to complete.
To install the badge just put it in the smaller half and then fold the bigger half over and it will snap together. The section joining the two halves is thin enough that it should easily flex when folding. To get the badge out just slide a fingernail between the top seam and you should be able to just pop it open.
This version is plain, although I also made one that had my old team's logo. I figure other people might want to similarly customize, so I've also uploaded the step file.
