PDF

A foldable, and angle adjustable keyring phone stand.

it can be clicked into three different angles, which lock in place and hold the phone very well.

pressing the top (squeezing works best) will unlatch and release the holder to fold flat when not in use.

There are two STL models, one which is just the keyring phone holder, and the other is the Keyring phone holder with added breakaway supports for areas of slight overhang, (the supports are there to make sure it prints cleaner on the edges so theres no friction between parts)

How I Designed This

Quick summary of the design.

It started as a simple small phone holder which would have a keyring loop.

But I wanted it to folde flat when not in use and on your keyring.

That design worked well, however each person i tested the design on wanted their phone to be at a different viewing angle. so I then wanted to design it to have an adjustable angle to suit each persons perfect viewing angle, while still keeping it compact and small to fit on a keyring.

The first designs were much like a desk chair, which just had a series of notches to hold the top in place. (image 1)

other designs had the notches in a circular pattern and would have a level to unlock it. (image 2).

This progressed to the final design, where more of the tolerances were tested and the final model ended up satisfyling click when pushed into place, holding the phone securely.
