My cousin told me to watch this show and now it's one of my favorites. It may have some plots/themes a little too derivative/similar to those in the Office and Parks and Rec, but Superstore has a special charm where lots of the characters get to shine rather than just a few each episode. Or maybe I just liked the characters in superstore a lot more . . .

Anyway here's my take on the nametag. I have included my name and some samples, but to customize it you have a few options:

  1. Use the provided .step file. I have not idea how to use this so have fun. If it doesn't work for you let me know.
  2. Wait for the new text embossing feature in the next major prusaslicer update. I thought it was out which is why I designed this, but I figured I get this out sooner rather than later.
  3. Use the blank name tag and add text yourself. You can draw text in your CAD program and just import it to the slicer with the blank nametag, combine, and kapow
  4. also marker

Printing

You don't have to print the full thickness of the card. I cut off the bottom 1mm or so. The reinforced cards are actually the original drawing that I made, so if you see “reinforced” in the 3mf name that's because that nametag hasn't been sliced.

Use the 3mfs to get an idea of how to accomplish all of the colors through color changes. It is a lot, and you don't necessarily have to do them all, but the gist is to use intermediate or bold colors below the light shades (in this case yellow/blue) to prevent unwanted mixing of colors. Alternatively, you can layer white under the yellow to give the yellow layer more pop/brightness.

I used one layer of medium blue below the dark transparent blue to avoid the yellow mixing with blue.

For the cloud, I achieved a slight shadowy effect by using one layer of transparent gray over the white base layers.

Lazlo
