This is my design of a poor man's “power plate”… You can use whatever filter you want, drill or zip holes into it, and use it as you need. OR, you may purchase the Rottweiler Performance intake (red=race) filter, and the holes are already precut and the foam is precut to fit this model. I used and recommend that you use ASA material as it will be outside and in a hot environment. I made this model with ZERO supports, 100% infill, and about 4 or 5 perimeters (walls).
*******NOTE!!!**********
In the picture, there are the bolts that hold the filter sticking up… They're M6 x1.0 x 25.4mm (1 inch) in length…. YOU WILL NEED HALF INCH LONG BOLTS so that it does not stick up and out that much. These pictures were just for fitment purposes. I also recommend that you place nuts with threadlock so that they do not wiggle free over time and fall off… which in tandem MIGHT fall into your airbox and into your engine (That would be a “big ouuf”).
Materials needed:
6 x OEM bolts to bolt the big plate down to the airbox
5 x m6x1.0x 1/5 inch Bolts to sandwich the “part 2” under plate to the “part 1” top plate
5x m6 nuts to lock the m6 bolts together and further sandwich the part 2 plate to part 1.
ASA filament recommended.
