Simple and tough repair collar for outdoor drying rack.
Made to repair two old plastic collars that were degraded by the sun until they broke.
The picture of the printed examples are ABS prints that have been in use for 1,5 years in baking sun.
The main opening is 42mm in the design, but I have used them on a drying rack with 38mm pole. The screw is long, and the design will probably be usable for smaller poles.
Assembly requires 4x 6mm bolts per collar with at least 40mm thread length.
Can be printed without supports. ABS or PETG will probably be best for outdoor use.
Depending on the printer and the filament, the printed bolt may need some size reduction to avoid the threads to be too tight. A bolt with 5% size reduction in the relevant axis is available for download.
