This design came about because I wanted to experiment with printing on fabric.
The model is thin - only 0.8mm. I did this so I could do a Z-offset with my printer and print it twice. I know there are several ways to do layered printing, but I thought this was the easiest method. You will need to slice the file twice: once like normal, with the model at 0 on the Z, then a second time with a Z offset of 0.8mm.
The file is a single copy of the wing. Import the model into your slicer software then duplicate and reverse the model. After it finishes printing, secure your fabric to the printbed so that it fully covers the model. Send the second sliced file to your printer and let the fun commence.
The finished earring - without the finding - is about 2 inches (or 50mm) in length.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
