A bed cable strain relief that lifts the cable up and works perfectly with Alexnettles angled bed cable mount (thingiverse.com/thing:5408215). This combo leads to:

  • shortened required floorspace of the printer (significantly!)
  • no more cable - Y stepper colisions
  • cabe is slowly bending in its' bracket an not breaking around the thin plastic edges of the base

With the bed handle removed and the PEI plate rotated 90°, the printer fits to IKEA PLATSA without any modification to the furniture.

Prints easily without support. Printed with PC, but anything would do. Although with PLA, I'd recommend reasonable number of perimeters (3-4 with 0,4 nozzle) since the cable is quite stiff.

You need to have two M3 countersunk metric screws (cca M3x8 - M3x10) on hand with melt-in thread inserts. Wood screws with coundersunk head should work as well (not tried).

On the inside of the printers' base, there's enough room to fit standard M3 nuts if you don't happen to have melt-in inserts on hand.
