We like to go for hikes. Especially in the summer, hidration is important. The parents' backpacks come prepared to hold a hidration system with a tube that enables easy drinking on the go. The child backpack does not come prepared with a holder in this fashion. Time to make one.
The holder has been tested with a Deuter Junior (edition from ~2020) 18L backpack. Its framework has overlapping textiles at the top. This is where the holder must be put (see pictures). You need to thread in a velcro cable strap at the bottom (less than 25mm in width) to attach the bladder to the holder.
We use this with a 1.5L Source Widepac bladder, but this should work for other similarly mounted hidration systems as well. Typical backpacks for adults shield the hidration system from the rest for spills. You obviously don't get that feature for the children backpack. The holder is “best effort” and mostly serves the purpose to keep the bladder upright for easy drinking. The tube holder on the front is one from an outdoort shop that we still had around.
I have printed in PETG but PLA would probably also work. The supports are a bit annoying unfortunately.
