I was modifying a mount to re-use a Dragonfly BMS hot end on my CR6 but the original cooling fan mount was not at the right height and was too short. I modified the original design to be adjustable so I can re-use it when I also try a Mosquito hot end or anything else I want.
I did notice remakes to this that removed some of the material. I did not do that but probably should. I may get to it later if I need to print a new one but if anyone wants to do the same I'd love to use it.
To print the smaller part to mount you should have it sitting on its end opposite of the part that sticks out. The rely on bridging to take care of the inner gap. Everything else should print fine since it is design with that in mind.
WARNING: Because of the asymmetrical heater block of the Dragonfly BMS I had to shorten the back duct to move it away and that made it a bit wider. If you want to use that and the space is available then you may want to edit this model and get it a bit closer. I will publish my remake of the mount for my Dragonfly BMS/Sherpa setup soon and you will see why I did this but for now you can look at the side view of the hotend from Fusion 360.
WARNING2: I am not great at Fusion 360 so I expect the exported design to be messy. I do what I can. Feel free to clean it up. I'll get better given enough time.
Update Jan 21st 2022 8:15PM: I added a v11 version with lighter weight since I hollowed out some areas similar to some of the other remakes.
