The head band is printed from petg and the ears can be made from anything.

Alternative headband with Audio Technica M30x compatibility

The servos are held in to the ears with the self tapping screws they come with.

For the headband just press the servo into the hole and secure with the servo horn screw.

(Generally the MG90's metal shaft results in a more secure press fit)

The ears should be in their neutral position straight up (servo's position when theyre first powered)

Required Electronics:

  • Arduino

Optional Electronics:

  • 5V Digital LED
  • Arduino Bluetooth Module
  • Voltage Regulator (For running with a battery)
  • Li-Ion Battery (Preferably internally protected)
  • Electronic Switch
  • Perf Board (For Managing 5V and GND rails)
  • Other Power Source

Notes:

This project started off as a joke that got out of hand.

A friend did most of the software development and even wrote a phone app for the BT version.

These cat ears are too heavy, the headband is really bad, and the electronics are clunky.

The MG90/SG90 can probably can substituted with a lighter and smaller drone servos.
