Introducing a 3D sculpture of Elinor, the main character of the beloved cartoon show 'Elinor Wonders Why.'

I had the idea to sculpt this after seeing a Facebook post on a 3D printing group, where the parent of an autistic child was looking for models to print but had not found any.

In order to create this design, I had to teach myself to model hair and hands, which may make the result looking a bit… strange. However, this was made with all the love of a parent who has an autistic child himself. I understand the joy and connection that can come from finding something that resonates with our children's unique interests, so I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help another parent in this way.

This model was made using Nomad on iPad.

EDIT: Oct 15 2023; added a full model in case you don't want to print all parts individually

Print notes

The model is scaled to measure about 10cm (about 4 inches) tall when on the base. It is a simple model so the parts don't have a need for guiding keys. The teeth are printed as a separate file to help with the inevitable sanding process of the face.

I printed this model using an anycubic Vyper.

0.1mm height

3 shells/walls

10% infill

brim (for the hands and legs)

tree supports touching build plate

Cheers!
