A friend of mine shared a link to buy this kind of object, and I decided to make an easy to parameterize and 3D print version. ^w^

Usage:

Simply press the object firmly onto the injection site (the side with the spikes facing the skin) and inject through or near the notch.

The pressure of the spikes on the skin distracts the nervous system, reducing the pain of inserting a needle into the skin ^w^

The PrusaSlicer (.m3f) file as well as the gcode have a variable layer height for a fast printed base but detailed spikes.

Printing time is around 35 minutes and filament consumption is around 0.20 € with Prusament PLA.

Feel free to change the following parameters with the Fusion 360 (.f3d) file at your convenience!

Default parameters:

  • External perimeter (ExtPerimeter): 65 mm
  • Internal perimeter (IntPerimeter): 10 mm
  • Notch angle: 30 deg
  • Spike diameter: 2 mm
  • Spike height: 2 mm
  • Spikes spacing : 6.5 mm
  • Spikes rounding: 1.5
  • Base thickness: 1.5 mm
  • Grip depth: 0.5 (base thickness / 3)

2023-12-16 edit: updated gcodes and 3mf files with PrusaSlicer v2.7.1 and added stl file

As all my models, it is available as pay what you want.

So if it helps you, please consider giving me a tip or saying thank you in the comments ^w^
