Custom Print Head for Vyper Printhead V1 and V3
In mid-December 2021 I had the idea of redesigning the printhead on my Vyper!
My goal was to keep the build size of the original printhead, despite the 5015 fans.
The width has remained the same as with the original printhead.
In terms of depth, my printhead has become approx. 8mm deeper in order to also install a 4020 as a hotend cooling!
After 40h CAD and many test prints I am satisfied with my result.
My SETUP
UPDATE, i changed from StepDown Converter to DC/DC Converter
UPDATE: 13.10.2022

Printer:
Anycubic Vyper
Rafts:
Doesn't Matter
Supports:
Yes
Resolution:
0,16
Infill:
15%
Filament:
Das Filament / Sunlu PETGred and black
Notes:
housing parts
PETG 0.16mm / infill 15% / support only on the tabs on the top left and right
Except for the fan ducts, I printed all housing parts at once because I changed the filament at a layer height of 0.65mm.
fan ducts
PETG 0.12mm / line width 0.3mm so that the walls are nicely closed / support so that the fan ducts do not fall over during printing
Assembly
Cold press in thread inserts with a longer screw as an aid with the collar.
Then the stakes will hold. Then I melted the inserts with the soldering iron and 200°C.
Attention: On the top left and right, the thread inserts must be halved with e.g. a Dremel.
Otherwise they go too deep into the tops. Also, don't put the soldering tip in the inserts on the tops.
Otherwise the soldering tip will come out on the other side :-).
Simply screw in and heat up the screw while melting it down.
Top Left and Right can be connected with two short pieces of filament.
I connected the 12V LEDs in series and glued them with 2K glue. The cable then goes down through the braided hose to the power supply unit.
+, - output is free for the connection on the power supply.
I installed a switch for the LEDs under the SD card slot.
The original LED can still be installed in the middle.
With the Noctua I connected a 240 Ohm resistor with 0.5W in front of it so that the Noctua only gets 12V!
Fan ducts can be glued to the sides of the case and/or to the fan outlets.
Right now I'm printing my PETG with 50% fan and everything is nice and quiet.
I would be happy about a small donation (Tip Designer)
kind regards
Markus
