Update Apr 23 '23:

Pre a request, added a flipped and longer model to send poop to the right side. The angles won't be quite right as the power cord will get in the way but it should be good enough. I also left it with no back side against the printer for the longer section so that the power button is still accessible.

Update Feb 19 '23:

I found that while I never had any issues with poop sticking when doing a single color print, with an AMS multi-color print I usually had things sticking. The poops for color changes are just bigger it seems. So I tweaked the model to be a bit wider. I haven't tested it yet as it's a bit of effort to get the printer out of it's outer enclosure.

So at this point I recommend:

  • Original: Great for a caseless P1P with no AMS
  • Longer: Great for a P1P you've added a smaller case mod to (that companion cube one probably is too wide!)
  • Wider: (Hopefully) great for if you have an AMS and do multi-color prints and should work with/without a case.

Update Feb 6 '23:

I uploaded a slightly longer version since my original was great until I added a case and then it was too short. The new one has been jamming on me a bit in multicolor prints where I hadn't (yet) had that happen with the older version. Possibly I didn't position it the same so I'm interested if people see the same problem. Perhaps it needs to be a bit wider or needs a slightly taller top wall. Since it's behind the printer when it jams it's hard to tell why!

Also I printed this one in a silk filament that I happened to have loaded. Which meant the top section was shinier as the walls got printed slower due to limited ability to accelerate. And it wasn't very strong so when I tried to pull it off to reposition it, it split along one of the corners (silk pla has weak layer strength). I recommend not using a silk pla for functional parts.

I'm planning to put my Bambu P1P in a sound insulated cabinet. That means the back will not be accessible and I need a poop bucket that I can slide in along the left side and that's not too wide instead of one of the ones that wrap themselves around the back left corner. So this chute is designed to redirect the poop to that future bucket. And I wanted one that was light on filament and smaller than many of the ones I see that are kinda big for the tiny poops the machine spits out in one go. This one comes in about 30g and takes about 47 minutes to print with high flow PLA or about an hour with generic PLA.

The model has a space for one of the magnets that comes for the scraper which I don't think I'll ever print so I am reusing it for this. Honestly that's a little weak though - it holds it in place just fine in normal use but it's very easy to knock it out of alignment with the poop hole if you brush it with your hand / poop bucket. So I plan to use double side sticky tape instead since I want a pretty permanent install that can survive the P1P being placed into the cabinet without moving or being knocked out of alignment later.

New poop bucket I'm using with this that just goes alongside the printer so you can easily slide it in/out of place:
