Well, I ended up testing it. Yeah, the groove mount version in the .step file works fine so far, printed in eSun ABS+. Ignore the fact that I accidentally cracked it by tightening the coupler in too hard lol (edited)

I noticed the Step file has a design for the groove mount version, has this been tested yet?

Did you have to teak the firmware to push the filament correctly into the hotend? My ptfe is now longer. (edited)

No I didn’t touch the firmware

I printed and it almost fits from my sla printer and having a hard time installing the fan as its a two pin fan and the mini uses a 3 pin im sure there is way around this but i havent found yet. im going to try again.

Same here
I couldn’t find a three pin fan
at the time wasn’t one out there
so I just put a two pin connector on it (edited)

Hey, nice work.
Since I managed to mess up my hotend I want to just invest a little bit more money and get a copperhead.
Since I like your model I would like to know what exactly do I need.
So far by reading through the comments i found out
* Copperhead scew moutn
* New hotend cooling fan
* Mini thermistor and heater

But what kind of heatbreak do I need for the copperhead?

Nvm. i guess if I use the copperhead heat sink only the standard one works :P

YES I USED THE STANDARD ONE

For this upgrade, do you use original thermistor and heater that came with the Mini? I can see why the hotend needs a different fan but why does the part fan need to be changed? (edited)

yes i used the stock thermistor and heater
you dont have to replace to part cooling fan
i just wanted extra cooling

I have been waiting for what seems like forever to get my mini working properly i think i must not be a fan of e3d products because they always work sluggish on extruding so i 've been waiting since the end of the kickstarter for copperhead to get an adapter so i could use it on my mini. You sir are awesome sauce. Now fingers crossed that i don't mess it up.

you will love it best thing ever that copperhead is amazing

its still printing probably on 6th or 7th roll by now if not more still just melting that plastic away like butter

Can you confirm the options for the Copperhead. got my Bondtech on order (edited)

Yes, please- screw mount or groove mount?

sorry been out of town
