The Cable Ring

This is aprint-in-place 2 part cable ring that lets you organize various power, display, usb and other types of cables. Better than zip ties and velcro straps!

Features

  • The rings print in place with a 0.25mm clearance that should print well on all hobbyist printers, and can be separated by bending the rings - no tools required!
  • The rings feature a dedicated space for a 12mm label used by various label makers
  • Included STLs in 5 different sizes
  • Prints well with simple PLA, does not require any supports
  • Each ring prints in under an hour even with conservative settings

Size guide

There are 5 sizes included. The sizes indicate the inner diameter (ID) of the ring - the ring's thickness and other dimensions are constant across sizes:

  • 20mm - for slim cables such as usb and other charging cables
  • 25mm - for slim display and power cables, such as VGA and 2 prong power
  • 30mm - for thicker display and power cables, such as HDMI, DP, and PC power supply cables
  • 35mm - a more forgiving fit for thicker cables
  • 40mm - for thick power cables such as extension cords
