Inevitably with kids things seem to scatter about as they reach across the board too stubborn to let you help them move their piece…
So… I made lil boxes to hold the player piece and “houses” (flat cardboard ovals with pics), money, and chance cards.
Then I realized the 2 “houses” sitting on the board would kinda move around and it wasn't as easy to tell when both properties were owned, so I made “hotels”. What better than a dino egg for the dino monopoly jr!
-There are 2 boxes for the chance cards, a solo one and one for spent cards also (flip spent one up so you know what's what) (3.25"x2"x0.75" & Dual 3.25"x4"x0.75")
-Box for the Money (4"x2.25"x1")
-Box for the Play piece and “houses” (2.25x2.25x1")
-Box to house the “hotels” and anything else (could be used in place of smaller player pieces as they hold Player Piece Name Cards) (3.25"x2"x1)
-Box I use for player piece and “houses” (2.25"x2.25"x1")
The “hotel” is a Dino Egg with the bottom flattened so it sits well. The oval “house” disc sits perfectly in it with enough space that it isn't damaged. I only printed 8 of them as that's how many total hotels possible on the board. They work so well I'm thinking of making a different color for the Hotel and having these to hold ALL the token “house” pieces…
Have been using and testing these parts almost daily for a month now (current date 1-13-23)
I also wanna give credit for the Dice Tower you probably see in the background, here's the link:
