Filament Pass Thru

Fitting to allow passing filament out of a dry box and into a PTFE tube. Inspired by CNC Kitchen's filament dry box. Sized for a 4mm OD / 1.8mm ID PTFE tube and a clear plastic tote with walls approximately 2.4mm thick.

The portion on the inside of the box has a space for placing a piece of foam or similar material to wipe dust off the filament as it goes out to the tube. I've included the Fusion file if you want to modify the design to fit your own needs.

Print instructions

Standard PrusaSlicer settings with the exception of using 3 vertical perimeters. No supports, 0.15mm layer height. I've printed in it PLA and PETG. If you're going to print in PLA you might want to drop the PTFE tube hole diameter down to 4.1mm (it's 4.2 in the files).
