The OwnPlant 2 is an open source outdoor growbox.
It was especially developed so that everyone can grow no matter how small their balcony is. It has a high-quality and therefore very quiet ventilation system that can be equipped with an activated carbon filter. By doing without an LED lamp, the power consumption was reduced by about 90%, which makes it unbeatable in terms of environmental protection and operating costs compared to the competition. No complicated cultivation methods are required, only plants that start to flower automatically Plant and Play. No matter what else may come, you can now ensure the supply of your favourite plant independent of governmental paternalism and industrial additives. It has a 12L water tank and can hold up to 40L of plant substrate, either expanded clay or soil. If expanded clay is chosen, the built-in pump allows for hydroponic operation. Furthermore, it is heated so that planting can be started at the beginning of March and the planting time is extended into autumn. The 16mm double-webbed panels provide appropriate insulation. The construction costs are about 300€ and the construction time is about one day.

Print instructions

1.) Print out all parts and insert all thread inserts 33x "M4 Thread insert" they are all the same
2.) Saw plates according to the "Cutplan Plate" drawing
3.) Saw HPL plates according to drawing" Cutplan HPL
4) "LightHouse Ecoheat 45w Mounting V1" to the "LightHouse Ecoheat 45w" using the screws supplied with the "LightHouse Ecoheat 45w
5.) With the "LightHouse Ecoheat 45w" and the "Pump" remove the plug and crimp it
6.) Insert the cable from the "LightHouse Ecoheat 45w" and the "Pump" into "Profile A2
7) Screw "LightHouse Ecoheat 45w" with 2xM4x20 to "Profile A2
8.) Run the cable from the "LightHouse Ecoheat 45w" and the "Pump" through "Profile A2" to "Profile A5
9) "Profiles A1" "Profiles A2" "Profiles A3" "Profiles A4" "Profiles A5" with 1xM4x12 screws
10) Screw 2xM8x30 and 2xM8 nuts into "Profile B2" and "Profile B3
11) Put the "Hinge" between "Profile B2" and "Profile B3" with the logo on the outside!
12) Screw "Profiles B1" "Profiles B2" "Profiles B3" "Profiles B4" "Profiles B5" together with 8xM4x20
13) "Profile C1" "Profile C2" "Profile C3" "Profile C4" "Profile C5" screw together with 8xM4x20
14.) Put the now screwed together assembly B (profiles 1-5) and assembly C (profiles 1-5) according to drawing "OwnPlant2" together with the "Plate A" "Plate B" "Plate C" Don't use a mounting hammer for this but press them together now make sure that the bottom side is flush with the plates (A is a bit smaller than b and c and that's right)
And that the hole in the top of Plate B is

15.) Now plug the assembly A (profiles 1-5) together with the rest
16.) Now glue "Tile D1" "Tile D2" "Tile D3" "Tile D4" "Tile D5" "Tile D6" "Tile D7" with silicone on the "HPL 6mm Plate".
17.) Screw the assembly that has just been glued together with 3x M4x30 and 3x "Foot".
18.) Clamp the "Pump" with the one with the "Pump Cover" on the "Tile D5".
19.) put the bottom plate and put the 3x waterfoot in the corresponding holes
20.) Now plug 2x "Flap Profile 1" 2x "Flap Profile 2" 2x "Flap Profile 3" and 1x "Flap Profile 4" onto the "Plate C".
21.) Now plug 2x "Flap Border1" 2x "Flap Border 2" 1x "Doorknob" onto the "Plate Flap C
22.) Screw "Flapstopper" with M4x30 to "Flap Profile 4
23.) Plug "water level indicator display part1" "water level indicator display part1" "water level indicator part three" "water level indicator part two" "water level indicator part one" and the "DN40 PVC 500mm" together
24.) Screw the "Control Box" with 2x M4x10 to board A and install 3x "Switch" "Fan (EBM Pope 4850Z)" "Activated Carbon Filter Cover" "Activated Carbon Filter " and "Control Box Cover" "Fan Cover
25.) Now wire the with "Rubber connecting cable" 3x " Lever connection clamp 5 x 0,2-4 mm²".
26.) Screw "Hinge" with 3x M4x12 to assembly A
27.) Put all "Cover Border" and "Cover A" "Cover B" "Cover C" on the "Cover Plate
28.) Press the "DO7 sealing profile edge protection profile with seal on top" onto the cover assembly and screw "Cover A" together with M6 Hexagon nuts self-locking and M6x50
29) "Lock part One" "Lock part Two" "Lock part Three" with 2xM5x70,2xM5 nut and 1xM4x40 and 1xM4 nut screwed together
