One of the options for the [Printer-Box] is a HEPA filter setup. It's designed around some commercially available filter media that simply slides into the slot. I wanted to design up some frames that could hold some of the filter media I already had a supply of so that's what these do.
It takes two of these frame sets to fill the opening in the housing designed by the folks at [Printer-Box].
For the media, I've used a MERV 13 filter cloth and activated carbon filter sheets available in many places online. The material should be cut into a 140mm x 110mm rectangle. It's a little longer than it needs to be so that it can be pleated by the internal ribs as shown below.
Commercially available filters have a lot more pleats and thus more surface area to capture particulate. Which may bet better for you depending on your application.
Caveat: I designed these frames around the Noctua NF-F12 3000 RPM Heavy Duty Cooling Fan. So these fit fine with that. If you're using a fan with larger depth, these won't work. If you're using a fan with a thinner depth, you may need to use some self-adhesive weather stripping to make up the gap.
