These pieces are for making molds to repair broken ceramic (porcelain) insulators in the ballast resistor of an obsolete Hobart welder-generator. I used these on my G-213 but they likely fit other models. Original design used 9 pieces, my design is longer and requires 6 pieces.
Three files here. "try 3" is my insulator design which you can use to make your own silicone mold. Do not use this u-shaped part as an insulator as it will melt and may not have enough dielectric rating - use it to make a mold only.
Other two files are my mold. I used PLA and simply melted the mold off the insulator. I did this to maintain geometry and because I didn't design any draft into the mold. I used a castable ceramic from McMaster-Carr. I used the shock-proof variety which you can see in the picture. I recommend minimal infill on the molds to limit waste and mess after you melt off mold.
Use at own risk. Follow ceramic resin directions completely. Vibrate ceramic when filling molds to remove air bubbles. These should be fired in kiln or similar. I recommend destructive testing of all parts.
