This model is designed to be printed in TPU in two parts. I designed it the day the Voron V0.2 was announced to help commemorate / celebrate.  Please note: the model is designed by me, the Voron Logo is designed by the Voron Team, who design open source printers. More info on Voron here:

In the picture, I used Polymaker Polyflex 90A for the Gray, and Sainsmart 95A TPU for the red. It should work with about any TPU as long as your settings are good. There is about a .5mm tolerance/gap between the parts (.25 per side) so it's fairly tight.

This may work for PLA but I don't make any guarantees.

Instructions:

  1. Print both parts out with two different TPU's. I recommend gray and red as pictured, or black and red, but of course any color will work. Make sure you are not over or under extruding.
  2. Get out your favorite super glue (CA glue). Insert the pieces into the coaster and glue them down. Loctite 406 works really well with TPU, but regular CA glue also works fine.
  3. Open up a can of cold beer (or warm if you're in Europe) and enjoy your new coaster!

Notes on print settings:

  • I recommend 15-20% infill for the coaster to help ensure a good top surface.
  • If you notice the inside walls of the coaster where the cut out are not adhering, increase your infill overlap percentage (somewhere between 20-30% should work, depending on the TPU you are using)
