This filament clip is printed in spiral vase mode. The filament can be double clamped. This, and the ridges on the underside, prevent it from untwisting, better as other clips can do this.

You can click the filament into the slot in the middle (without having to thread the filament end. This part is loose, so the filament can move freely through that but not "escape"), and then clamp it once or twice with one or two turns in the outer slots.

The filament clip can remain on the filament during printing in the middle slot. It is just as easy to remove the filament clip from the filament again without having to pull the end through.

Printing recommendation

If possible, use the provided gcode, which print 9 peaces. If you want to slice for your own, simply select the "Draft" profile in Prusaslicer, (0.25 or 0.30 mm). Do the following changes for a single print:

  • activate "Spiral Vase" in print settings
  • Reduce the bottom layer to 0 (one layer is ok if you have problems with bed adhesion)
  • configure Perimeter generator to Classic (important!)
  • configure extrusion width for external perimeter to 0.6 (is default for MK3S 0.3 mm Draft profile, but for the Mini 0.25 Draft profile you have to configure this)

If you want to print several clips:

  • do the same steps as for a single Clip
  • deactivate Spiral Vase
  • configure Seam position to Random
  • on Plater, add several instances of the model

I recommend using PETG because PLA tends to deform over time, but my favorite is ASA.
