You like simple vase-mode models? Then get the hell out of here…
This model is for pure 3D printing psychopaths…
lots of warpage… elephant foot assemble problems…
lost bed adhesion… and and a good chunk of material waste.

Ok now we all calm down a little.
The initial idea of this model was to have a basket for cycling bottle caps. Since these are usually wet I wanted to have a bin with lots of cutouts. To save some materal and to gain some freedom of design compared to standard vase-mode cups, this multi part thing popped out of my head.

Parts Overview:

4 short and 3 long profile-elements are connected via some kind of “lock keyhole” geometry to the frame.
To check whether your print settings are fine for the keyhole lock, make some trials with the >TEST MODELS< I added to the files.

1. Profile Short -500

2. Profile Short -175

3. Profile Short +175

4. Profile Short +500

5. Profile Long -400

6. Profile Long 000

7. Profile Long +400

8. Edge Rail

Print Instructions:

Profiles:
The base thickness is 1,2mm. To have additional stiffness while only using only 1 perimeter shell the extrusion width is set to 0,6mm.
There is a tradeoff between adhesion and elephant foot. Since elephant foot will cause assembly issues play with your settings or buy proper BuildTak (with I dont have sadly). When using only 1 perimerter the new “Arachne” seam thickness difference will be visible. My workaround is: disable "Arachne" and add an extrusion multiplier of 4% (1,04)

My key settings are:
- 0,6mm extrusion width
- 200° Nozzle, 65° bed (PLA)
- 1 Perimeter shell, 0% infill, 1 solid bottom layer
- Slow printing with 30mm/s, no cooling
- diable arachne, +4% extrusion multiplier

Edge Rail:
Here you cant do much wrong. Some overhang at the start could cause warpage, Too much elephant foot could cause tight assembly of the bars.

My key settings are:
205° Nozzle, 65° bed (PLA)
- 2 Perimerter shells 30% infill, 3 bottom and 2 top solid layers
- Slow printing with 30mm/s due to zigzag infil, 100%cooling

Assemble Instructions:

Cut off the small triangles of the bars.
Put the frame upside down.
Assemble the 3 long bars.
Arrange the short bars between the others in the right pattern.
Put things into the basket and enjoy life from now on.
